About UMPL
Understand the role, values and actions of the World Union of Liberal Professions.
The Liberal Professions have tens of millions of members around the world and constitute a socio-economic factor in the international community whose importance far exceeds the number of their representatives.
They are united around several fundamental values and criteria of professional conduct: independence, competence, responsibility, ethical conduct, professional secrecy and quality of service.
In many countries, the Liberal Professions have already created unions of interprofessional associations at the national level. Many professions have also formed international unions or associations.
Despite the diversity of the political, economic, historical or cultural environment of the countries, the profiles of these gatherings and the problems they face are often comparable.
The Liberal Professions constitute a specific economic and social sector at the international and national level. For these reasons, it has become necessary for national organizations to organize themselves at the international level.
