World Liberal Professions Day: AI at the heart of the transformation of liberal professions

Paris, September 20 | Like every year, the National Union of Liberal Professions (UNAPL), which brings together 68 unions representing professionals in the Law, Health and Technology and living environment sectors, celebrates the world liberal professions day, which takes place on September 23.

This year, jointly with the World Union of Liberal Professions (UMPL), whose president, Faouzi Kechrid, will be present, UNAPL is participating in the conference organized on Friday September 20 by its Belgian counterparts from the Union of Liberal and Intellectual Professions (Unplib) and its President Bernard Jacquemin. This meeting will discuss the importance of artificial intelligence in the digital age for the liberal professions.

The choice of this theme is in line with the discussions initiated for several months by the UNAPL on artificial intelligence and its implications in the liberal professions sector. Data processing, automation of certain tasks, drafting aids in legal professions, assistance with care and diagnosis in the health sector... AI represents an upheaval for our professions at an international level.

World Liberal Professions Day is therefore an important opportunity to discuss with other nations on this subject of the future which is already present in the present for many liberal professionals who use it on a daily basis.

The digital transformation of AI will impact the lives of 1.7 million French liberal VSEs (1 in 3 companies) and the 1.3 million employees they employ. The UNAPL, which defends a reasoned and ethical use of AI in the liberal professions, has therefore naturally made this subject the central point of its reflections in 2024. AI will thus be at the heart of the next National Congress of Liberal Professions UNAPL, which will take place on Friday January 31 in Paris.
